The source said the decision to extend a single-visit visa for only 30 days was issued several weeks ago and is being implemented in accordance with a decision issued by the UAE Cabinet.
The authority allows visiting foreigners the possibility of extending the visa according to the specified period (30 days and only once), through smart channels through the “UAEICP” smart application.
The source indicated that the documents required to benefit from the service include the original entry permit and a personal color photograph.
Approved standards
According to the authority, the extension of the visa requires the presence of the sponsored person within the country, and the validity of the passport at the time of submitting the service request must not be less than six months, and the value of the visa fees to visit a family member or friend for a period of 30 days and one time is 750 dirhams, which includes 500 dirhams of issuance fee and 100 dirhams for the application, 100 dirhams of intelligent services fee and 50 dirhams of insurance and authority rate.
The authority has indicated on its website that there are several conditions for the issuance of a visa to visit a family member or friend, including that the visitor be a family member or friend of a citizen or foreigner residing in the country in accordance with the provisions that determine the authority. , attaching proof of relationship and justifications for the visit, and complying with the financial guarantee determined according to the object.
The authority said that once the service of issuing a visit visa for a family member or friend is chosen through the application according to its duration, all the data of the person staying in the country automatically appears, and you only have to complete the form . steps to apply and enter the identification details of the sponsored person benefiting from the service, then attach the required documents and pay the prescribed fees for the issuance of the visa.
The authority added that the application will be rejected electronically after 30 days if the application is returned due to data deficiencies or failure to complete the required documents. The authority noted that fees are refunded by credit card within a period of no more than six months from the date of submission of the application, or are refunded through the procedures used to recover fees by check or bank transfer – for banks located within the country. only, and in a period not exceeding five years.
