GPSSA announces modifications to the ‘Shourak’ program

The amendments to the Shurak The program applies to applications submitted to GPSSA after July 1, 2023 retroactively, as some applications submitted during that period exceeded the month and were rejected accordingly.

To ensure that requests are valid and that end-of-service bonuses are not paid to policyholders in the process, the policyholder must submit a request to their entity before the end of the service period and sign a “no” statement of agreement. get paid. the termination of service bonus, as well as joining a new employer within “six months” from the period of termination of service.

An application to merge the service must be submitted within “three months” of joining the new entity; The amendment applies retroactively to those whose service period ended after July 1, 2023.

It is crucial that the insured is “not” indebted to the government for any reason related to professional performance and to recover what was unfairly paid.

Besides, Shurak It does not apply to prior years of employment that ended before July 1, 2023, but rather includes periods of service that ended after that date.

The program is aimed at insured individuals who wish to move from one employer to another under the GPSSA‘s umbrella, whether federal, government or private entities. However, it does not apply to those whose periods of service have ended with an entity subject to other pension authorities based in the UAE.

Pensioners or people who meet the criteria to be entitled to a pension are not included in the Shurak program, nor those who have worked less than one year since they are insured, are not entitled to receive a bonus for termination of service if they have remained less than one year in an entity.

Insureds cannot claim an end-of-service bonus for their previous years of employment after having completed the Shurak procedures.
