The President of the United Arab Emirates receives the President of the World Bank Group

The meeting addressed the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28), which the United Arab Emirates will host later this year. The importance of climate finance to strengthen the global response to climate change and achieve sustainability goals, as well as the role of the World Bank in this regard, was highlighted.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Governor of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region; Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler of Abu Dhabi in the Al Ain region; Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; and the delegation accompanying the President of the World Bank.
