Narrating the turn of events, the ship owner said that his ship broke down at night, near the breakwater. The water began to drag him quickly towards the breakwater. “I was afraid the boat would crash and hit the rocks,” the boat owner said.
He called the Dubai Police command and control center asking for help and assistance quickly before the ship crashed.
“One of the officers contacted me and worked to calm me down until marine patrol arrived on time,” he said.

The ship’s owner praised the timely rescue carried out by Dubai Police.
“Thanks to God and the quick response they were able to tow my boat away from danger and save me,” he added.
Brigadier Dr. Hassan Suhail Al Suwaidi, Director of the Port Police Station, urged boat owners to register for the ‘Sail Safely’ service on the Dubai Police app to quickly respond to their reports in emergency situations. .
He also urged them to contact the Dubai Police Command and Control Center at 999 in case of emergency situations.
