EDGE Group acquires majority stake in autonomous aerial systems developer ANAVIA

The United Arab Emirates EDGE Group has announced the acquisition of a majority stake of 52% in ANAVIA, a Swiss-based company that specializes in the design, development and manufacturing of versatile vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) systems up to 750 kilograms, and their associated capabilities.
The movement will see EDGE become a market leader in this highly specialized field.
ANAVIA produces several industry-leading unmanned helicopters for various mission profiles, such as surveillance and reconnaissance, inspection and mapping and cargo, which can be tailored to EDGE’s cross-complementary portfolio of air, land and sea capabilities. The Group is paying special attention to the development of autonomous systems.

ANAVIA employs a highly qualified team of experts in the autonomous aircraft space, covering composites, mechatronics, aircraft maintenance, flight testing and software engineering.
