dnata, a leading global provider of air and travel services, is preparing to play a major role in the highly anticipated Dubai Airshow taking place at Dubai World Central (DWC) between November 13 and 17.
As a key strategic partner of Dubai Airports, DNA is prepared to work closely with authorities and organizers to ensure safe and efficient operations in the air zone throughout the event. dnata will assign an impressive fleet of 100 Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and over 30 dedicated employees to support service delivery for seamless execution.
DNAGSE’s technical services team will provide 24/7 support throughout the show. The company’s teams will work overnight every day of the event to ensure that all GSE is in perfect condition, refueled, recharged, washed and cleaned to withstand all aircraft movements.
Airshow attendees will have the unique opportunity to witness dnata’s advanced electric push tractors in action as they deftly move some of the world’s largest aircraft.
Steve Allen, CEO of dnata Groupsaying:
“Dubai Airshow remains one of the most prestigious aviation events in the world. We are proud to play a crucial role in ensuring that air operations are carried out efficiently throughout each day. Our commitment to safety, sustainability and excellence in service will be on full display during the event, including exciting demonstrations of our electric push tractors. We look forward to connecting with our partners and the broader aviation community at the event.”
Electrical ground support equipment on display
Airshow guests will have the opportunity to see the future of GSE’s sustainable operations at DWC. In the busy world of aviation, ensuring the smooth operation of the world’s largest airliner, the massive Airbus A380, requires state-of-the-art ground support equipment. Part of dnata’s A380 refurbishment operations in Dubai is the Kalmar TBL800e electric aerial tractor.
This powerful towbar-less machine plays a crucial role in the journey of the A380, moving it away from its stand to power passengers’ journeys to their destinations. With a power of 1,000 kW, the equivalent of more than 1,340 horsepower, the tractor is driven by “green” efficiency.
Visitors will also be able to see dnata’s newest piece of GSE, supporting the Airshow’s ground movements: the TLD TPX100e narrow-body electric aircraft tractor, with its towbar-less technology. With the ability to push back aircraft weighing up to 100 tonnes, as large as an Airbus A321 NEO or a Boeing 737-10, this vehicle demonstrates the latest in innovative and sustainable ground support equipment from dnata.
