UAE aid convoy heads to Rafah crossing bound for Gaza Strip

Al ARISH: A humanitarian aid convoy from the United Arab Emirates left Al Arish, Egypt, today for the Rafah border crossing, in preparation for its entry into the Gaza Strip. The aid will be distributed under the supervision of the United Arab Emirates as part of the humanitarian operation ‘Gallant Knight 3’, launched under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. The convoy is made up of 13 trucks carrying a total of 272.5 tons of aid. These include 10 trucks carrying 16,800 food parcels weighing 252 tonnes to sustain 84,000 people, and three trucks carrying 360 tents weighing 20.5 tonnes.
