Winners of the first edition of the Emirates Labor Market Award are honored in Abu Dhabi

Dubai: Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of the Presidential Court, and Dr Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratization, honored the winners of the first edition of the Market Award Labor of the Emirates last Thursday at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC)
The award ceremony was held under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Presidential Court, Wam reported on Thursday.
The Emirates Labor Market Award is divided into three main categories: the Establishments Category, which aims to recognize leading establishments that have continually managed labor relations in an exceptional manner; the Workforce Category, which targets outstanding workers who have served the business sector and the UAE community; and the Business Services Partner Category, which recognizes companies that support the development of leading practices in the labor market. The first edition of the award honored 66 winners across all major categories and subcategories.

Sheikh Mansour also underlined the strong partnership between the UAE government and private sector. “This partnership has been a major driver of our country’s development and an important driver of its economic strength, competitiveness and sustained growth,” he noted.
“The UAE labor market has evolved to present an inspiring model, with strong credentials that allow it to rank among the best global markets in terms of attracting talent from around the world and positioning the UAE as the ideal place to launch your businesses. and fulfill their dreams and ambitions in an environment of stability, security and equal opportunities,” he added.
Sheikh Mansour encouraged private sector institutions to continue to persevere and optimize the use of innovation and advanced technologies and take advantage of the advanced capabilities and sophisticated infrastructure that the UAE provides, along with modern legislations, to enable them to actively contribute to prosperity. from the country.
New era of excellence
Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratization, Chairman of the Emirates Labor Market Award Supervisory Committee, thanked Sheikh Mansour for his sponsorship and support of the award, noting that “celebrating the winners in the first Emirates Labor Market Award cycle marks a new era of excellence and leadership for the UAE labor market. The award has yielded outstanding results, reaffirming that emphasizing the importance of teamwork is key to advancing to the highest ranks.”

Private sector growth
“Our data indicates a 10.5 percent increase in the number of private sector establishments, compared to 2022, as well as a 9.1 percent growth in work permits,” he revealed. The Minister went on to note that “leadership and competitiveness in the UAE is based on integration and aims to improve the quality of life and promote the UAE’s position on the global stage, where the country is now among the top 10 economies most competitive in the world. and one of the best places in the world to live and work.

Winners
The Establishment Category awards are granted to entities that stood out for implementing best practices in human resources in all award criteria, obtaining the highest compliance with work systems and standards. Alshaya Group, Halcon Systems, Majid Al Futtaim Holding and Liberty Dental Clinic won this category.
The category comprises six subcategories, the first of which is awarded to establishments outstanding in employment, empowerment and attracting skilled work placements. Dulsco, Mirdif Private Hospital, Blue Ocean Management Training and Consultancies and Gulf International Bank were awarded in this subcategory.
Subcategories
The second of these subcategories is Occupational Health and Safety Practices, in which Khansaheb Civil Engineering, Al Naboodah Contracting, Bosio Construction and Milestone Constructions were honored. The third subcategory rewards Outstanding Practices Related to Labor Relations and Wages.
The winners were DAMAC Properties, Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle and Latinem Securities. The fourth among the subcategories is Work well-being and quality of life; The winners were Bukhatir Investments, LLH Hospital Musaffah, Bin Hamoodah Automotive and Meerana Information Technology. In the fifth subcategory, Most Future-Ready Establishment, Americana Group (The Kuwait Food Company), Al Masaood, Trends Research and Advisory Center and Patriot Sealing Technologies won. In the sixth and final subcategory, which awards establishments with the most outstanding workforce housing, Workers’ Village Real Estate and Dubai Industrial City took home the award.
Distinguished individuals
The Workforce category rewards distinguished individuals who have distinguished themselves for their contributions to their work and the UAE community. The winners are Sheikha Mughir Al Dhib Al Darmaki, an engineer at Halcon Systems (skilled workers), as well as Pamela Krishnan, a housekeeper at the Canadian Medical Center (other professional levels category). Mohammed Anas Ali, Shopkeeper at Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle was also honored as Distinguished Skilled Worker and Maria Lacerda, Housekeeper at Emirates Business Group, as winner in the Other Professional Levels category.
Business Services Partners
In the Business Services Partners category, Housekeeping Domestics Workers Services won the Domestic Worker Recruitment Agencies subcategory, while Saa Technical & Specialized Services won the Employment Agencies subcategory and Yas Center won the Business Services Centers subcategory. With a prize pool of over Dh9 million, the first edition of the Emirates Labor Market Award was sponsored by 34 major UAE companies and entities and saw over 3,500 nominations submitted across all categories.
