Sharjah Consultative Council elections: Hybrid voting begins December 5

The committee praised the directives of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, who provided his full support for the success of the electoral process, and highlighted the importance of activating community participation and enabling that citizens contribute to decision-making through the SCC.

During the meeting, executive plans for the voting process were discussed, in addition to monitoring the availability of all logistical, technical, and human and financial resource needs. The electronic voting mechanisms were reviewed using the UAE Pass smart application, with an emphasis on providing the opportunity to vote electronically remotely and opening the door to in-person voting at various accredited voting centers in the different regions of the emirate.

Polling centers include Sharjah Chess Club in Sharjah, Al Bustan Suburb Council in Al Dhaid, Khorfakkan Expo Center in Khorfakkan, Kalba Neighborhoods City Council in Kalba, Dibba Al Hisn City Council in Dibba Al Hisn, Al Madam Municipality in Al Madam, Al Bataeh Municipality in Al Bataeh, Maliha Cultural Club in Maliha and Al Hamriyah City Municipality in Al Hamriyah.
