Experts to share global best practices at 9th Dubai International Project Management Forum – News

With the theme “Beyond Limits”, the 9th Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF) will be held in Madinat Jumeirah from January 15 to 18 next year, the Roads and Transport Authority confirmed on Tuesday from Dubai (RTA).
The annual high-level event held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, is organized by RTA in collaboration with the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Electricity Authority and Dubai water. (Dewa) and DP World.
DIPMF will feature local and international experts who will share their ideas and knowledge on project management and operation in line with global practices and standards. The list includes Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, the first Emirati woman to take up a ministerial position as Minister of Economy in 2004, before becoming Minister of Foreign Trade, Minister of Development and International Cooperation and then Minister of State for Tolerance .
Gracing the DIPMF are David Coulthard, former Formula 1 Grand Prix driver; Mattar Al Tayer, Commissioner General of Infrastructure, Urban Planning and Wellbeing, and Director General of RTA, Chairman of the Council of Executive Directors; Saeed Al Tayer, CEO and CEO of Dewa; Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of DP World; Mohamed Ali Alabbar, founder and CEO of Emaar Properties; Salem Humaid Al Marri, Director General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center; Hamed Ali, CEO of Dubai Financial Market and Nasdaq Dubai; Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi; and Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, founder and chairman of Al Habtoor Group.
The forum will also feature: Greg Wooldridge, former commander in chief of the Blue Angels; Jennifer Tharp, President of the PMI Board of Directors; Ben Royce, director of artificial intelligence services at Google Cloud; Bas Theelen, Vice President and Head of Project Management Excellence at Airbus Defense and Space; Daniel Burrus, Global Futurists, strategic advisor, best-selling author; leadership and performance expert Rasmus Ankersen; Jessica Fox, display and broadcast specialist at XpoNorth Digital; Professor Mike Berners-Lee, climate researcher and author; Dr. George John, founder and president of Transform Specialist Medical Center; Jack Duggal, founder and CEO of Projectize Group; and Américo Pinto, executive director of PMO Global Alliance.

Moaza Saeed Al Marri, Executive Director of the Office of the Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors and Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the Forum, said: “In the last editions, the DIPMF has successfully attracted 350 experts and specialists from worldwide. These professionals gathered in Dubai to share their ideas, visions and creative insights on successful implementation of mega projects. They also delved into the best international practices and innovative solutions in project management and operation aligned with the highest international standards.”
He added: “The ninth DIPMF will focus on three key themes: sustainability, modern project management methods and future trends and technology. Within these topics, the forum will explore 14 diverse topics. The topic of Sustainability involves Sustainable Societies, Greener Projects and Promoting sustainable growth.
The topic Modern Methods in Project Management covers future trends in PM, the future PMO, profit and value management, visionary leadership, project economics and the circular economy. The Future Trends and Technology topic covers Artificial Intelligence, Future/Smart Mobility, Agile Transformation, Digital Twin/Metaverse and Big Data. This diverse range of topics is designed to provide a comprehensive exploration of current advances and future directions in project management.
