All UAE airlines, both regular and economy, have been ranked among the top 20 safest airlines in the world in 2023.
According to AirlineRatings.com, flydubai, Air Arabia and Wizz Air are among the top 20 safest low-cost airlines in the world in 2023. Etihad Airways and Emirates feature in the list of safest airlines.
Other low-cost airlines that made the list include AirAsia, Allegiant, Air Baltic, easyjet, Frontier, Jetstar Group, Jetblue, Indigo, Ryanair, Scoot, Southwest, Spicejet, Spirit, Vueling, Vietjet, Volaris and Westjet.
Meanwhile, the full list of airlines includes Qantas, Air New Zealand, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, TAP Air, Alaska Airlines, EVA Air, Virgin Australia/Atlantic, Cathay Pacific Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, SAS, United Airlines, Lufthansa/ Group Swiss, Finnair, British Airways, KLM, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines.
The study, which covered 385 airlines, used factors such as incident records from the last two years, accident records from the last five years and the results of audits carried out by aviation’s governing body – the Civil Aviation Organization International (ICAO), banned by the EU.
