The Abu Dhabi Public Health Center (ADPHC) has launched a campaign to raise awareness about the importance of the HPV vaccine.
In a social media post, the center said this month that the goal is to raise awareness about how women can protect themselves from human papillomavirus (HPV). The virus is the common cause of cervical cancer.
ADPHC urged young women between the ages of 13 and 26 to get vaccinated a few years before getting married.

Recently, the center conducted comprehensive health screening (IFHAS) to raise awareness about the importance of early screening to detect possibilities of cervical cancer. As part of cervical cancer awareness month, the center has also held workshops in schools.
