Presidents of the United Arab Emirates and Russia discuss bilateral relations; regional and global developments

Abu Dhabi: The President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, spoke by telephone today with Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, to discuss bilateral relations and opportunities to further strengthen ties between the United Arab Emirates and Russia.
During the call, the Russian President expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Mohamed for the UAE’s successful mediation efforts regarding the recent prisoner exchange between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Ukraine.
Sheikh Mohamed and the Russian president also discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, with special attention to the Ukraine conflict.
Sheikh Mohamed reiterated the UAE’s firm commitment to promoting peace and stability both regionally and globally, emphasizing the importance of resolving conflicts and disputes through continued dialogue and diplomacy. Sheikh Mohamed further underlined the UAE’s dedication to supporting all efforts aimed at alleviating the humanitarian consequences of the Ukraine crisis.
