Access to the Mall of the Emirates metro station in Dubai will be temporarily closed through the mall entrance this week.
When Khaleej Times visited the mall, a notice was posted outside the mall’s subway entrance, informing travelers that access would be temporarily unavailable on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, starting at 8.30 a.m.

The closure is due to a mall-wide evacuation exercise conducted by Civil Defense that day. Exit and entry to the subway from the mall entrance will not be available from the mentioned time “until further notice,” the sign said. Here is the notice:
A staff member at the Ministry of Education station information desk confirmed to KT that subway operations will not be affected. Only access to the shopping center will be closed. Passengers will still be able to enter the station through other entrances.
The entrance to the walkway will continue to be accessible to passengers, as will the elevator leading to it.
