Fedex express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, is expanding its presence in the Middle East with its new state-of-the-art Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa (MEISA) hub at Airport Dubai World Central (DWC) in South Dubai. The 57,000 square meter facility incorporates advanced technologies including automated sortation systems that improve the efficiency, accuracy and speed of package processing and distribution from the facility. The center also has two automated high-speed X-ray machines equipped with artificial intelligence, to efficiently scan goods and improve security. Additionally, a 170 m2 cold storage area serves a wide range of temperature-sensitive shipments.

The facility complies with Dubai Municipality Green Standards, which features a solar energy project and a building management system that helps ensure efficient energy use.
