Dubai: Military aircraft from the United Arab Emirates and Egypt will jointly organize more humanitarian airdrops in the northern Gaza Strip to alleviate the plight of Palestinians amid the ongoing war.
Dubbed “Birds of Good”, the new initiative is part of Operation “Gentleman 3”, which was launched on November 5 under the directive of the President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The humanitarian operation means concerted efforts by the Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defense to extend support to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The “Birds of Kindness” initiative is scheduled to continue for several weeks, underscoring the strong joint coordination between the Emirates and Egypt aimed at helping the Palestinian residents of Gaza.
The initiative embodies the depth of Arab and humanitarian solidarity to support the Palestinian people amid the difficult circumstances prevailing in the Gaza Strip.
Departing from Arish International Airport, the aircraft will embark on missions to deliver urgent aid to various locations in northern Gaza.
The aid, comprising vital provisions such as food, medicine and essential supplies, plays a crucial role in alleviating the severe humanitarian crisis prevailing in the region.
The supplies are destined for areas facing shortages of essential and essential items, exacerbated by persistent military operations. Through these airdrops, efforts are being made to address the pressing needs of affected communities amid the current crisis.
On Wednesday night, collaborative teams from both nations executed the operation using three aircraft, transporting approximately 36 tons of food and medical supplies.
Aid was successfully delivered to designated areas in Jabaliya and Beit Lahiya, facilitated by specialized containers equipped with GPS guidance technology. This advanced system ensures accurate navigation to specific locations within designated time frames.
The incorporation of the GPS system represents cutting-edge technology in the delivery of aerial aid, facilitating the precise identification and targeted deployment of supplies.
This innovative approach is a testament to continued advances in humanitarian and relief efforts, particularly in emergency situations.
