The United Arab Emirates celebrates the annual International Women’s Day today to highlight its support for women, their empowerment and advocacy for their rights globally and regionally.

The UAE leadership attaches great importance to women’s issues and empowerment in the economic, political and social spheres, viewing them as crucial partners in overcoming challenges and achieving all-round development.

This year’s International Women’s Day coincides with the UAE’s continued efforts to introduce initiatives, programs and strategies to elevate the status of women and strengthen their role in various communities.
