The authority stated that the decision to close the establishments was made due to repeated violations. Both Al Amal Butchery and Al Ayham Meat Trading Butchery have been found to be violating food standards. There were cases of imported meat being sold falsely labeled as local produce, undermining consumer trust and compromising food integrity.

Additionally, the authority found cockroach infestations inside the premises, indicating serious non-compliance with hygiene and sanitation protocols, according to Arab media.

The authority urged community members to remain vigilant and report any violations at food facilities or any suspicions about the contents of the food. Individuals are encouraged to contact the toll-free number 800555 to report such concerns.
