Dubai Chambers and Amazon collaborate to improve the digital presence of local businesses

Dubai Chamber of Commerceone of the three chambers that operate under the umbrella of Dubai Chambershas collaborated with Amazon organize an online workshop aimed at developing the e-commerce capabilities of the local business community and enabling companies to increase their sales through digital channels.
The session, which attracted 141 participants from companies operating in various sectors, provided valuable insights into the benefits of increasing digital presence for retail businesses of all sizes. The informative discussion also included comprehensive guidance on how to successfully sell products through Amazon, and the company’s team provided support to participants interested in registering an account on the platform.

The UAE ranks 45th in the global e-commerce market, with projected revenues of more than $6.7 billion in 2024. According to specialist data provider eCommerceDB, the UAE’s e-commerce market revenue is expected to reach a Compound annual growth (CAGR) of 8.7% between 2024 and 2028, resulting in a projected market value of more than $9.3 billion by 2028.
Active internet users now make up 99% of the UAE’s total population, one of the highest percentages globally. The growth momentum of the e-commerce sector is expected to continue, supported by growing demand for online shopping experiences, improvements in digital payment systems and services, and continued investments in digital infrastructure and the logistics ecosystem.
Dubai Chamber of Commerce works to facilitate and improve the ease of doing business in Dubai while providing value-added services and serving as a bridge between the business community and key government entities.
