Ministry of Economy will implement the ‘Zero Government Bureaucracy’ program

The Ministry of Economy organized a workshop on the ‘Zero Government Bureaucracy’ (ZGB) program to discuss the mechanisms for its implementation.

The program was launched by the UAE government with the aim of streamlining and simplifying government procedures by eliminating unnecessary procedures and requirements. The workshop was inaugurated by Badreya Al Maidoor, Deputy Undersecretary of the Support Services Sector of the Ministry of Economy, in the presence of Abdullah Sultan Al Fan Al Shamsi, Deputy Undersecretary of the Governance and Trade Control Sector; Maria Hanif, Deputy Undersecretary of the Sector for Economic Policies and Studies; and Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Muaini, Deputy Undersecretary for the Intellectual Property Sector, and various partners and traders.

Badreya Al Maidoor He said that efforts to develop government procedures continue in the light of the vision and directives of the wise leaders, to achieve the objectives of the ‘We UAE 2031’ vision by making the UAE government services system the smartest, fastest, most flexible and superior globally.

The organization of the workshop is in line with the Ministry’s continuous efforts to improve the experience of customers who use various services provided by the Ministry, and efforts to improve and develop these services. It highlights the Ministry’s commitment to providing its services easily, simply and quickly without compromising its quality and effectiveness, to better adapt to the needs of individual and business clients.

The workshop discussed various innovative ideas and visions as participants, including Ministry employees, partners and customers, conducted a review of policies, procedures and requirements for all Ministry services with the aim of streamlining them and reducing response times.

The session also discussed an action plan that will extend until the end of this year, in line with the general executive plan of the zero bureaucracy program in the country. It will conclude with a comprehensive evaluation to measure the impact of the improvement measures, which will positively reflect on customer happiness levels.
