UAE: Now use WhatsApp to report abuse of a particular child in Abu Dhabi – News

The Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) has launched official channels to report cases of suspected abuse that people of determination, particularly children, may face.
The ZHO announced the community initiative in Abu Dhabi on Emirati Children’s Day. People can now submit abuse reports by email (pod.cp@zho.gov.ae), dialing a hotline or sending a WhatsApp message to 0542003366.
Additionally, there is a dedicated window for employees of the organization through its internal website regarding persons of determination affiliated with the institution. The objective is to ensure the provision of an environment conducive to the healthy and sustainable development of children.

The service includes preventive measures to provide a safe environment free from all forms of physical, psychological and sexual abuse, exploitation and discrimination. This is achieved by activating channels to report suspected cases of abuse, monitor and provide protection, and enhance the necessary capacities to address cases of child abuse by people of determination in coordination with other relevant entities within the framework of shared social responsibility.
As part of its steps to implement the initiative, ZHO has trained 23 of its specialized staff to obtain the status of specialized child protection judicial officers within the institution. A new job role, Child Protection Specialist, has been introduced and designated for this purpose.
