The 13th group of injured Palestinian children and cancer patients arrived in the United Arab Emirates early on Saturday in response to President Sheikh Mohamed’s directives to provide medical treatment to 1,000 injured children and 1,000 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip in hospitals in the United Arab Emirates.
Departing from Al Arish International Airport, a plane landed at Zayed International Airport, carrying 98 Palestinians, including 40 children who needed urgent medical assistance for serious injuries and burns, as well as cancer patients requiring intensive treatment. They were accompanied by 58 family members.
With the arrival of this new group of wounded and injured, the total number of patients and companions welcomed in hospitals in the United Arab Emirates rises to 1,154. Included are 585 injured children and cancer patients, as well as 569 companions.

Upon the arrival of the plane, medical teams began the process of transferring the wounded and injured patients whose cases required immediate transfer to hospitals to receive medical attention. The remaining cases and their companions were transferred to the Emirates Humanitarian City, where they will remain.
The city includes a preventive health center equipped with the latest in medical equipment. It has been designed to the highest standards, taking into account privacy and providing comfort and psychological support. In addition, the city administration has provided a daycare center for children and specialized school and university education programs so that Palestinian students can continue their academic studies.
The city offers various recreational programs for all age groups in outdoor facilities and indoor halls equipped with advanced entertainment facilities. The city also organizes social interaction activities on a regular basis in cooperation with its partners, as part of psychological support and to provide an environment and community that enjoys comfort, containment and stability.
