“Extending the tourist fee waiver until the end of the year is part of our efforts to accelerate our growth and provide continued support to our partners and event organisers, who are an integral part of the emirate’s tourism and entertainment ecosystem,” he said. Saleh. Mohammed Al Geziry, CEO of Tourism at DCT Abu Dhabi.
Event organizers must continue to obtain event licenses through the Abu Dhabi Event Licensing System following specific regulations.
They must also declare the income generated by their events, submit supporting financial statements and cooperate with income auditors or persons designated by DCT Abu Dhabi to verify the accuracy of their statements.
The tourism tax exemption is one of several recent measures aimed at encouraging the expansion of the tourism and events industry in Abu Dhabi.
Other incentives include reduced tourist and municipal taxes for hotels in Abu Dhabi, as well as updates to the holiday home policy. Within this policy, holiday home owners can now acquire licenses to convert their properties into holiday homes. Owners and owners of residential units may obtain more than one vacation home license for multiple units.
