United Arab Emirates: ‘Global Accelerators Ambassador Program’ to share knowledge with international organizations


Dubai: The UAE government has launched the Global Accelerator Ambassador Programme, a first-of-its-kind project showcasing cooperation between Government Accelerators and international organizations.

The first cohort began in collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), with the aim of sharing the methodology of the UAE government’s accelerators and empowering working groups of international organizations with the knowledge, experience and the tools necessary to accelerate the design and implementation of transformative projects. .

Acceleration culture

Additionally, the program spreads the culture of acceleration by developing the capabilities of a generation of acceleration ambassadors among employees of international organizations.

The Global Accelerator Ambassador Program is the second project launched by the Government Accelerator Center of the Prime Minister’s Office in the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, in cooperation with international organizations.

Partnership with WHO

Previously, the center launched an exceptional partnership and successful experience with the World Health Organization (WHO), equipping it with the accelerator work methodology to support WHO’s efforts to achieve its “Three Billion Goals” .

Global accelerators

The program was launched at a workshop held at the ICAO headquarters in the Canadian city of Montreal, in the presence of Juan Carlos Salazar, Secretary General of the ICAO, Dr. Radhiya Al Hashimi, Executive Director of the Government Accelerator Center, and Engineer Saeed Alsuwaidi, the UAE Permanent Representative to ICAO, and several officials.

The program seeks to enhance the UAE’s leadership role by sharing the government accelerator model and concepts and developing a platform for knowledge sharing and developing global capabilities, through which the accelerator culture is spread internationally, building and strengthening partnerships with international organizations and developing the future. cooperation frameworks.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and Salvatore Sciacchitano, President of ICAO, signed a memorandum of cooperation focusing on institutional development, sharing knowledge and experience, and providing support by sharing the UAE’s experience in civil aviation .

Better practices

The partnership aims to share best practices and exchange knowledge and experience in the field of international civil aviation, in line with the directions of the UAE and ICAO and their strategic initiatives to improve the performance of the global aviation sector.

It focuses on innovation in the field of civil aviation and electronic security, and on the dissemination of development models and the exchange of experiences to serve the international aviation sector and improve its preparation for the future.

Huda Al Hashimi, Deputy Cabinet Minister for Strategic Affairs, said the Global Accelerators Ambassador Program lays the foundation for a new phase of knowledge partnerships between the UAE government and international organizations.

These partnerships focus on sharing experiences and the successful UAE accelerator model to support organizations and enable them to accelerate the achievement of their goals.

The Global Accelerators Ambassador Program comprises 6 courses divided into 3 main stages: design, planning and implementation, over 100 days.
