The Federal National Council analyzes food security in its eighth session

Abu Dhabi: The Federal National Council (FNC), during its eighth ordinary session of the eighteenth legislature, chaired by Saqr Ghobash, President of the Council, on Wednesday evening, adopted a series of recommendations during the debate on the “Government Policy on Food security.”

The FNC emphasized the need to accelerate the finalization of all food safety regulations. The session urged the need to increase coordination between relevant authorities and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and verification of food safety. He also stated on the need to complete the development, standardization and implementation of the national food product registration system (ZAD), especially with regard to food or feed registration and supervision procedures.
