President of the United Arab Emirates and King of Jordan discuss bilateral relations and regional developments

Abu Dhabi: The President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received a phone call on Monday from His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. During the call, the two leaders discussed the close ties and various aspects of cooperation and collaboration between the UAE and Jordan, all aimed at fostering mutual growth and boosting development and prosperity.
Sheikh Mohamed asked King Abdullah II about the situation in Jordan, offering prayers for God’s protection over Jordan and its people, and for continued blessings of safety, security and stability. He affirmed the UAE’s commitment to supporting the Kingdom in maintaining its security and stability.
King Abdullah II expressed his gratitude for Sheikh Mohammed’s kind sentiments towards Jordan and its people, and wished the UAE further progress.
During the call, the two leaders addressed several regional and international issues of shared concern, particularly the situation in the Middle East and the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. They stressed the need to intensify efforts to establish a ceasefire and reinforce initiatives that address the worsening conditions of Gaza and its people.
Both sides stressed the need for decisive international action to prevent further escalation of the conflict in the region. Furthermore, they highlighted the importance of establishing a clear political path towards achieving a just and comprehensive peace, based on the two-State solution, which would help ensure stability and security for all.
