As Muslims around the world, such as in the United Arab Emirates, prepare to bid farewell to Ramadan 2024, there is excitement in the air for the arrival of Eid Al Fitr.
Eid could be on Tuesday (April 9) or Wednesday (April 10), depending on the sighting of the moon.
As preparations for the festivities continue in full swing, people are wondering what the weather will be like in the UAE during the Eid festive week.

According to the National Center of Meteorology, both days are expected to be cloudy and light rain could also occur on Tuesday. In general, if we stick to the weather forecasts, there is a good chance that the weather will be somewhat pleasant in the country on the day of the festival.
In fact, this is just the time when the UAE is transitioning from mild spring weather to warmer days. Dr Ahmed Habib, climate expert at National Center of Meteorology (NCM), earlier told Khaleej Times: “The humidity decreases slightly during April compared to March, especially during the second half of the month.
“There are also chances of fog and mist forming during the first half of the month in scattered parts of the country, but this frequency will decrease during the second half of April.”
Here’s a look at the UAE weather as predicted by the NCM, for the week of Eid:
Monday April 8
The weather is expected to be partly cloudy in general, with medium clouds likely to appear over western coastal areas and islands with a chance of light rain. Light to moderate winds from the southeast to northeast, refreshing at times, will probably blow at a speed of 10 to 20 km/h, reaching up to 35 km/h.
Tuesday April 9
Like the previous day, Tuesday is also expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy overall, with medium clouds continuing in scattered areas with a chance of light rain showers, especially to the west. There will be a decrease in temperature. Light to moderate winds will blow from the northwest to the northeast, refreshing at times, with a speed of 10 to 25 km/hour, reaching 40 km/hour.
Wednesday April 10
Again, the day is expected to be partly cloudy overall and cloudy at times in some western and southern coastal areas. There will be an increase in temperature. Light to moderate winds will blow from the northeast to the southeast, with speeds of 10 to 20 and will reach 30 km/h.
Thursday April 11
Thursday is also expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy at times with a chance of showers in the coastal, northern and eastern areas. Light to moderate winds will blow from the northeast to the southeast, refreshing at times, with a speed of 10 to 20, reaching 35 km/h.
