Located in Al Jada in Sharjah, the Nest houses students, most of whom are living outside their homes for the first time. With strict rules and easy access to amenities, this Sharjah hostel gives them a safe space to make mistakes and learn from them.
For Nada, a paramedic student, the hardest part of living alone for the first time has been establishing a routine. “It’s like starting a new life and facing all my responsibilities on my own,” she said. “The first few weeks were a little tough, but I’m getting there.”

Here’s a look inside the neighborhoods and how the students live there:
Room
Nest rooms vary in size. Students have the option of choosing a private room, with two single beds or triple. The single room has its own bathroom and kitchen, while in a semi-private room students share their kitchen and bathroom.
Shared triple room
A triple room has the option of a shared living room and kitchen where students can entertain their friends. However, the hostel rooms are all gender-specific and men and women are not allowed in each other’s rooms.
Amphitheater
At the center of the well-secured Nest campus is an amphitheater that occasionally hosts free movie nights and other entertainment programs. There are also running tracks that criss-cross the campus.
Music room
Imagine being able to take a break from studying by playing your favorite instrument in the music room. Nest students have access to a variety of instruments and often perform together, leading to many impromptu karaoke sessions.
Shuttle Buses
Located near the university city of Sharjah, Nest offers shuttle buses every half hour for students to reach campus. Getting to the shuttle buses on time was one of the biggest challenges students faced during their first days on campus, according to staff.
Game room
For students who want to de-stress after a long day of studying, the Nest game room offers a variety of options. From playing foosball with friends to fighting on a game console, young people can enjoy their free time with a little fun.
Gym and pool
Staying fit has never been easier for Nest residents. There are two fully equipped gyms on campus, as well as separate swimming pools for men and women. There is also 24/7 security throughout the campus to ensure the safety of students.
Open days
In addition to all the amenities, Nest regularly hosts open houses on campus, where companies from the UAE set up stalls and students can discover home-grown products.
Socialize
With many open areas and seating arrangements, Nest offers students the opportunity to socialize with each other and make friends their own age.
