With donations pouring in from the UAE community, a humanitarian organization has resumed its aid operations in Gaza.
Anera, an on-the-ground partner of Dubai Cares for the Ramadan ‘Gaza In Our Hearts’ fundraiser, halted operations earlier this month following attacks on aid workers.

“Following the murder of Anera staff member Mousa Shawwa, followed by the attack that killed seven World Central Kitchen aid workers, we made the difficult but necessary decision to suspend aid operations on April 2,” said its president, Sean Carroll, in a statement.
Now, the group said circumstances “have changed enough” to resume operations.
All funds raised through Dubai Cares’ Ramadan campaign will continue to go to Anera, allowing the group to provide hot meals, food hampers and emergency shelter tents to the people of Gaza.
Since the fundraising began, the good Samaritans of the UAE have shown unwavering support.
