Unstable weather conditions may affect flight schedules from Dubai International Airport (DXB), an airline said. In a statement, Flydubai advised passengers to try to arrive at the airport at least four hours before their flight departure.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms have lashed parts of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah since late Monday afternoon. The unsettled weather is expected to intensify overnight.
According to an advisory issued by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), heavy rain is expected to cause flooding, while strong winds will reduce horizontal visibility. The bad weather is expected to persist until early Wednesday morning.
