Dubai: Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Digital Economy, Artificial Intelligence and Remote Work Applications and Deputy Director General of Dubai Future Foundation, on Monday highlighted the importance of a futuristic vision in the success story of the UAE, calling it a ray of hope not only for the Middle East, but for the world.
He was delivering the keynote speech at the Dubai Future Forum 2023, the world’s largest gathering of futurists, to be held at the Dubai Future Museum on November 27-28.
Addressing attendees at the start of the forum, Al Olama said that from the beginning, UAE leaders had a vision for the country to be a global nation and not only focus on its own needs but those of the world. The focus was always that “the UAE was the world in a country, not a country in the world,” Al Olama said.
Creating hope
From helping children around the world access education during the COVID-19 pandemic to projects like the Mars Hope Probe, Al Olama spoke about how the UAE has always been a source of hope and building a future solid for people all over the world. The UAE itself has always welcomed people from around the world who seek to build a better future for themselves and others, he said.
“The 200 nationalities shape the future and will keep us ahead for the foreseeable future.
No matter where you are from… because you dream of the future and want to impact it positively, the UAE can be your springboard. This will be an ongoing occurrence in the future,” she stated.
