RTA announces free parking for New Year’s long weekend

January 1 is a holiday and falls on a Monday.
Dubai motorists will enjoy two days of free parking over the upcoming long weekend. He Highways and Transportation Authority (RTA) has announced that public parking will be free on the first day of the new year. Monday, January 1, 2024. Use of paid parking is free on Sundays in Dubai.
Free parking does not apply to multi-level terminals. The parking fee will be reactivated on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Residents will enjoy a three-day weekend to celebrate the new year. January 1 is a holiday and falls on a Monday. When combined with the Saturday-Sunday weekend, it’s a three-day break.
RTA service schedules
- The technical test and customer service centers will be closed on January 1.
- Dubai Metro: The red and green lines will operate from 8 am on December 31, 2023 to 11:59 pm on January 1, 2024.
- Dubai Tram: from 9:00 a.m. on December 31, 2023 to 1:00 a.m. on January 2, 2024.
