A torrential storm has hit the eastern region of the United Arab Emirates for the past three days, leaving many neighborhoods in the city of Kalba under Sharjah Municipality submerged under water.

Authorities have blocked roads that have been submerged in water and efforts are underway to manage the crisis.

Emergency services work tirelessly 24 hours a day to pump water from main roads, providing safer access for residents.

The downpours have caused a significant accumulation of water, which has caused many residents to evacuate for their safety. Residents living in low-lying areas have been evacuated and relocated to hotels and schools in safer areas.

Authorities have put school buses into service near Al Sidra Park in Kalba to take affected residents to safer places.

The situation has forced numerous businesses to temporarily close while they wait for the flood waters to recede.

Numerous vehicles lie submerged under the waters of Kalba. Rescue vehicles participate tirelessly in rescue operations, working to extract submerged vehicles.

Despite the challenges, community spirit is evident and residents come together to help each other with essential needs.

Various social organizations have come together to provide support to displaced people. They are working to ensure evacuated residents receive essential assistance and supplies during this difficult period.
