Abu Dhabi authorities announced road closures on Monday due to the UAE Tour men’s cycling race.
Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Center (ITC) said there will be rolling closures from 12.35pm to 4.30pm in Madinat Zayed, Al Dhafra region, for the first stage of the Tour.
The first stage will be from Al Dhafra Walk Madinat Zayed to Liwa Palace over a distance of 143 kilometers.

According to the map provided by ITC, the first lockdown will take place from 12.35 pm to 1 pm, followed by the second phase from 1 pm to 1.45 pm.
The third phase is from 1:45 p.m. to 1:55 p.m. followed by the fourth phase from 1:55 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. The fifth phase will be from 2:15 p.m. to 3:05 p.m. followed by the sixth phase from 3:05 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The seventh phase will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 3:40 p.m. and the eighth and final phase of the day from 3:40 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Following the success of the UAE Tour Women, the Men’s Tour will take place from February 19 to 25.
The cyclists will compete in seven stages, covering a distance of 980 kilometers. It will be another intriguing edition in which both sprinters and climbers will have the same possibilities.
Four of the seven stages will favor sprinters and the Tour also consists of a 12.1km individual time trial. The third and seventh stages will be mountainous in Jebel Jais and Jebel Hafeet respectively.
Remco Evenepoel was the overall winner of the race last year.
