A night of thunderstorms and rain turned into a day of heavy rain, and some parts of the country suffered flooding.
Police have issued alerts warning motorists to be careful on the roads and follow the rules to avoid accidents and dangerous situations.
Meanwhile, videos circulating on the Internet show the magnitude of the rains and cars have to drive on roads that look like rivers.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued orange and yellow alerts across the country and also in neighboring seas, warning residents of clouds and heavy rain until Wednesday.

The video above, posted by Storm Centre, shows what appears to be a culvert spewing muddy water, creating a sort of fountain in the middle of the road, as water gushes around it amid the heavy downpour.
Mountainous regions are always the worst affected when heavy rains hit the UAE. The water causes valleys to become rivers as rainwater flows to the lower lands. The following video was taken near Hatta, in the eastern mountainous region of the country.
This morning, Al Ain residents woke up to hail covering their backyards.
Dubai residents witnessed lightning flooding the night sky around midnight, accompanied by thunder and light rain.
