United Arab Emirates: “Remarkable participation” on the last day of the Federal National Council elections

Preliminary results are scheduled to be announced this afternoon and final results tomorrow, October 8.

The National Elections Committee said the main election day, today, represents an opportunity for voters who did not vote during the early voting period (Oct. 4-5), and the day designated only for remote voting ( October 6), participate in this national duty. The Committee urged all voters to activate the digital identification system and download the smart applications ‘Sharek for the Emirates’ and ‘National Elections Committee’, so that they can vote remotely, whether from inside or outside the country.

The Committee confirmed the complete readiness of all polling stations and the digital infrastructure of the voting system, as all capabilities have been provided that ensure the highest standards of accuracy for the electoral process and allow voters to vote easily.

The National Election Committee called on voters to leave the polling station after completing the voting process, to make room for other voters to cast their votes, unless the person is a candidate or an agent of one of the candidates, in which case he or she has the right to attend the voting and counting processes.

The National Election Committee also asked all candidates, their agents and supporters to refrain from practicing any form of election campaigning on the day of the main elections. The Committee highlighted that the voter can cast his vote at any polling station, whether in the emirate to which he belongs or in any other emirate.

The National Electoral Committee stated that the initial results of the 2023 Federal National Council elections will be officially announced at the main electoral center at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, once the voting process is fully completed on the main election day. .
