Sharjah declares distance education for private schools and universities amid heavy rain – News

Sharjah on Monday, February 12, declared distance education for the emirate’s private schools and universities.

The local emergency, crisis and disaster management team issued the advisory to private educational institutions amid turbulent weather conditions across the UAE.

On the other hand, public schools were ordered to carry out mandatory distance learning for students on Monday, taking into account the turbulent weather. The Ministry of Education also issued an advisory for distance education in all federal higher education institutions on Monday, February 12 in the UAE.

In addition, all competitions and sports activities organized by the Sharjah Sports Council were canceled on Monday.

This decision arises to preserve the public safety of students, as well as sports club players of various age groups.

The authority has expressed its readiness to address the impacts of the climate while continuing to monitor its evolution and continuing measures to provide vital services.
