Dubai Roads and Transport Authority is set to host the ninth edition of the Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF) from January 15 to 18, 2024, under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prince Heir and President of Dubai. of the Executive Council.
This year’s theme will be “Beyond Limits” and the forum will take place at Madinat Jumeirah.
Registration for DIPMF will begin on October 10 on the website www.dipmf.ae.
The forum sees a collaboration between RTA, Project Management Institute (PMI) and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).

“The ninth edition of DIPMF will revolve around three main themes: sustainability, modern project management methods and future trends and technology. Within these themes, the forum will delve into 14 different topics,” said Al Tayer.
The topic of sustainability involves sustainable societies, greener projects and driving sustainable growth.
The topic of modern methods in project management covers future trends in PM, the future PMO, profit and value management, visionary leadership, project economics and the circular economy.
The topic of future trends and technology covers artificial intelligence, future or intelligent mobility, agile transformation, the digital twin or metaverse and gig data.

The 8th edition of DIPMF, with the theme “fostering well-being”, addressed key issues relevant to innovation, sustainability, gender balance, women’s empowerment, the relationship between developing communities and promoting well-being, project economics and the management of large sporting events.
It attracted more than 2,000 participants and 55 international and regional speakers who moderated 50 sessions and panel discussions. The forum also issued 32 key recommendations covering areas such as sustainability, well-being, gender equality, agile transformation, mega projects, leadership and management skills, value and benefits management, advanced technology and data and information management.

In the course of its previous sessions, the DIPMF discussed several important and significant topics, and each session was dedicated to one topic.
Following the inaugural edition in 2014, successive themes were related to “project management supports innovation”, “shaping the future”, “making a difference”, “building nations” (coinciding with the Year of Zayed and highlighting the role of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan) and ‘cultural diversity’ (aligned with the adoption of 2019 as the Year of Tolerance), in addition to ‘Shaping the Future’ in 2021 and ‘Promoting Wellbeing’ in 2022. Next edition is scheduled to defend the theme “Beyond the limits.”
