The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, one of three chambers operating under Dubai Chambers, has launched the foundation phase of the Emirates Training Academy.

The cutting-edge online training program is part of the ‘Create applications in Dubai‘ and is designed to equip talented UAE nationals with the knowledge and skills needed to build a successful career in mobile app development.

The self-paced courses build on the initial phase of the program, which launched in August, to provide a comprehensive learning journey with two distinct tracks focusing on Android and iOS app development. Participants can choose to complete one or both pathways, and those who successfully complete this phase of the program will have the opportunity to apply for a course leading to a globally recognized nanodegree certificate.

Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, commented:

“We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback about the Emirati Training Academy. Building on this success, the next foundational phase of the program will offer an engaging and in-depth curriculum in application design and development.”

Al Gergawi aggregate:

“The Emirati Training Academy is part of the ‘Building Apps in Dubai’ initiative and promotes the emirate’s future vision of transforming Dubai into a leading player in the global digital sector. We recognize the importance of seizing future opportunities and believe that this world-class training offering will allow us to build an experienced and highly qualified team of Emirati coders and application developers, positioning Dubai as one of the most agile and diversified digital technology hubs in the world. . .”

The foundational phase of the program will focus on equipping participants with the technical, UX, and UI skills needed to successfully develop mobile applications. Emirati Training Academy participants will be guided through workshops taught by expert Emirati tutors to ultimately help them transform their skills and ideas into businesses.

The program aims to create well-rounded developers equipped with a deep understanding of the market and user needs, preparing them for the real-world challenges of the application development landscape. Students will not only develop the skills necessary to become Android and iOS developers, but will also cultivate capabilities that will significantly improve their career prospects within the broader technology sector.

Available exclusively to UAE citizens of all ages and from any of the seven emirates, the Emirati Training Academy is designed to educate and upskill Emiratis with the aim of enabling participants to start their own businesses.
