Israel-Gaza War: UAE, US Emphasize Protection of Civilians During Talks

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and US President Joe Biden held a phone call on Thursday to discuss regional developments and efforts to contain the current situation in light of the growing violence and escalation, which seriously threaten regional security and stability.

The two sides emphasized the critical need to prioritize the protection of civilians and open safe corridors to enable the delivery of humanitarian aid. They also discussed the importance of coordination between regional and international parties to call for restraint and an immediate reduction in tensions. In this sense, both leaders pointed out the need to work to broaden political perspectives to achieve peace, stability and security in the Middle East region.
