Abu Dhabi Police have asked drivers to stay on the right lane when driving slowly, as doing so in fast lanes obstructs traffic and confuses drivers, causing serious accidents.

The authority explained that the fine for not giving way to vehicles that have priority from behind or in the overtaking lane is 400 dirhams.

The police insist on the need to drive carefully and not overtake on the right, as this causes major accidents that can cause injury or even death.

Abu Dhabi has implemented a minimum speed limit of 120 km/h on the express lanes of a major highway in the emirate, in order to prevent traffic accidents. It should be noted that following too closely, that is, not maintaining enough distance between vehicles, is also a crime. , which could land drivers a fine of 400 dirhams as well.
