Dubai Fitness Challenge: More than 1,790 residents join Nakheel Palm Run

The race included distances of 21.1 km, 10 km and 5 km for those over 16 years of age, and a 1 km course for children and young people aged 4 to 15 years, offering the opportunity to complete their ’30×30′ (30 minutes of daily exercise for 30 days) per day, during the ongoing month-long Dubai Fitness Challenge.

The race also saw the participation of Nakheel employees. Nakheel also organized competitions like plank challenge, dance for adults and ‘head banging’ competition for the younger ones.

Participants were treated to views of the Palm Jumeirah with the running route covering The Crescent, the semi-circular road that forms the outer edge of the Palm Jumeirah, as well as the running track in Al Ittihad Park, which is located in the center of the trunk of Palm.

Nakheel is the creator of beachfront residences including Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali and Dubai Islands. Nakheel continues to support, sponsor and organize international sporting events such as the recent UAE Tour 2023, Dubai World Cup, Dubai Netball 7, Roy Nasr Triathlon and the UAE Cycling Federation’s Dubai Islands Open Challenge race which hosted place earlier this year.

Recently, Nakheel announced sponsorship of The Dubai Diggers, one of the most successful dragon boat racing teams in the world, as well as sponsorship of the Dubai Police Rowing Team and the Police Olympics Rowing Team. from Dubai.
