The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued yellow and orange alerts due to continuous rains in the country.
NCM says “dangerous weather events” are expected and the public should follow rules issued by authorities.
Residents are urged to use caution when venturing outdoors, especially when driving. Abu Dhabi Police have issued an alert to motorists, asking them to be careful and pay attention to changes to speed limits. These can be seen on electronic signs along the road.
Light to moderate winds will cause dust and sand. Temperatures will range between 25°C and 32°C in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, which are expected to experience heavy rain today. Seas will be moderate to rough at times, especially with clouds in the Persian Gulf. The weather will be mild to moderate and rough with clouds in the Sea of Oman.
