UAE students attend Sharjah book fair to get vouchers to buy books – News

According to the directives of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), students attending the 42nd edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) will receive vouchers generously provided by the authority.

These vouchers allow students to purchase their favorite titles and improve their personal libraries with the latest releases from the publishers participating in the fair.

Students will have plenty of options to fill their reading lists for next year, as the SIBF, which continues until November 12, hosts a selection of more than 1.5 million titles submitted by 2,033 Arab and foreign publishers.

This gesture is in line with the SBA’s mission to facilitate access to knowledge and learning resources for younger generations, aligning with the emirate’s vision of establishing a knowledge-based society.

Through ongoing initiatives and events, the authority aims to raise awareness among children about the importance of reading, its impact on their future and its role in achieving the aspirations of the United Arab Emirates.

The 42nd edition of the book fair features a wide range of cultural, entertainment and educational activities, including more than 1,700 events led by 215 guests from 69 countries in six interactive spaces.

Hosting hundreds of thousands of students from various academic stages, this 12-day cultural extravaganza brings together creators, artists and inspiring figures from diverse creative and knowledge fields, spanning theatre, novels, sports, music, content creation for social networks, space and science.
