e& introduces green SIM card initiative for UAE customers

e& has introduced an eco-friendly Green SIM Card initiative for its UAE customers at the upcoming 28th UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP28) in Dubai.

As the main technological partner of the event, sustainability remains a key factor in my&The overall mission to meet its net zero emissions target by 2030 as it accelerates the implementation of climate action projects across its UAE operations.

Made from recycled consumer electronics, the new cards are more environmentally sustainable than traditional cards and have a lower carbon footprint. This transformation has led to a notable 52 percent reduction in energy consumption compared to conventional equipment, translating into an annual decrease of 7.6 tons of carbon emissions per site.

my& has also joined the World Economic Forumof the EDISON Alliance, committing to significantly contribute to the mission by striving to improve the lives of 30 million people through improved network access, financial services and technology education by 2025.
