UAE opens registration for Haj 2024: here’s how to register

The United Arab Emirates’ registration platform for Haj 2024 is now open, authorities announced on Tuesday.

Awqaf published a step-by-step guide explaining the registration process for those in the UAE:
- Download the latest version of Awqaf UAE smart app.
- Open the app and tap on the ‘Haj Permit Service’ option.
- Log in with your UAE Pass (digital ID).
- Once you’re logged in, a registration icon will appear, along with a series of steps. Tap the ‘register’ icon and follow the procedures.
- Make sure all personal details are accurate.
Normally, the UAE issues Haj permits only to Emiratis. Expats have to go through the quotas and procedures of their home countries.
Pilgrims usually undertake the Hajj through authorized tour operators, a list of which is available on the website of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments. Operators offer all-inclusive Haj packages that take care of visa, hotels, transportation and food costs.
