United Arab Emirates: 50 tons of humanitarian aid sent to war-ravaged Gazans – News

LuLu Group International has sent a second batch of relief supplies to the war-torn people of Gaza, where the humanitarian situation is worsening.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), in its latest report, noted that as of February 3, up to 1.7 million people had been displaced across the Gaza Strip.

The World Health Organization, in a recent report, highlighted “exacerbated challenges” such as shortages of essential services, clean water, food and fuel in Gaza.

The much-needed aid and relief materials consisted of 50 tons of food products, hygiene products and other essential items. He was handed over to Egyptian Red Crescent authorities in Cairo on Monday.

Dr. Rami El Nasser, Executive Director of the Egyptian Red Crescent, received relief supplies from LuLu Egypt Marketing Manager Hatim Said, Lulu Egypt and Bahrain Director Juzer Rupawala, Regional Director Huzefa Qureshi and other officials.

“The Egyptian Red Crescent will deliver relief materials to the people of Gaza as soon as possible,” said Dr. El Nasser.

He welcomed the helping hand of the Abu Dhabi-based company and praised the efforts of LuLu Group Chairman and CEO MA Yusuffali for his constant support to the people of Palestine.

Also in December, the LuLu group delivered 50 tons of relief materials.
