A tourist who lost more than Dh76,000 after New Year celebrations had his money returned to him by Dubai Police within half an hour.
Authorities received a phone call at 2 a.m. after the celebrations from a tourist, informing them of her lost bag in a taxi containing large sums of money while she was returning home, both in dollars and dirhams (17,000 and 14,000 dirhams). ).
The police team immediately started working to identify the taxi. “Within a few minutes, they successfully located the taxi that the tourist had taken to his hotel and then contacted the driver to return the bag of money,” said Brigadier Khalfan Obaid Al Jallaf, director of the Dubai Tourist Police at the General Department of Criminal Investigation. .

The tourist reported the loss through the Dubai Police Tourist Service on the Dubai Police app.
