The functions of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council include oversight of the international humanitarian and philanthropic sector, review and approval of the political agenda for international humanitarian affairs, supervision of the preparation and implementation of relevant initiatives and projects, development of the future vision of international humanitarian assistance. general issues and frameworks for implementation, and form the necessary subcommittees to support operations.
The council will comprise the Joint Strategic Committee for African Cooperation, the UAE Humanitarian Committee, the Higher Committee on Foreign Aid and the International Health Advisory Committee.
