Can you tell us a little about yourself?

My name is Léa VANDENDAELE, originally from France and currently residing in Dubai for two years. I am the founder of Miles of Smiles, a trilingual daycare and kindergarten.

Having three children pushed me to constantly search for the most suitable educational environment for them. This pursuit ultimately inspired the creation of my school, a place dedicated to emphasizing the acquisition of English, French, and Arabic. My goal is to stimulate the curiosity of young minds and unlock their innate potential.

What is your business and what do you offer in the market?

At Miles of Smiles schools we serve children from 45 days to six years old.

Our aim is to offer children a complete nursery and nursery experience, allowing them fearless access to the best primary schools and preparing them in the best possible way. Guided by a team of highly qualified and experienced bilingual educators, children learn, progress and grow in a safe and secure environment.

The trilingual education we provide allows children to make a smooth transition to schools that follow a French curriculum or continue their academic journey in IB schools or with American and British curricula, having gained a solid foundation in Arabic.

What services does Miles of Smiles offer?

At Miles of Smiles schools, we meticulously select the services available to our students, ensuring a commitment to consistently offering high-quality activities. Our offers include:

What challenges did you face when launching Miles of Smiles?

As the first French woman to establish a nursery brand in the UAE, I started the creation process from scratch in this beautiful country, where the community has been incredibly welcoming and supportive.

What are your current projects?

We have recently expanded our franchise system in response to requests from other industry professionals to join the Miles of Smiles adventure. As a result, we will open several new facilities in January 2024, strategically located between Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.

Any future projects in the pipeline?

In fact, we imagine Miles of Smiles will expand on a larger scale, with plans to soon open facilities in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
